You have questions and we have answers. Look below, or contact us to ask something else.
• How can I save money on my mailing project?By being aware of the basic mailing requirements up front, you are able to design a mailing piece that can save you money in printing and postage. To ensure your piece goes through the Post Office's automated equipment, the design orientation for a self-mailer for instance, should be horizontal with the fold at the bottom of the mailing panel. Size and orientation determine whether your piece needs one or two tabs. Always check with the Post Office or your ImagePlus representative BEFORE designing or printing a mail piece.
• In what format do you want my database?
ImagePlus prefers to receive your database in Excel.
• My company does not have a permit number and we want to do a mailing, can you help?
Yes! ImagePlus will print our permit number on the mail pieces. All mailings need to have the postage paid upfront before the mail is processed by the Post Office. Please make your company check payable to US Postal Service.
• My mailing is a club mailing and not a company mailing so I don't have a company check. What can I do?
Write your check out to ImagePlus Quality Printing. We will then write a company check for the postage amount.
• Need a ZIP Code?
Find it at zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp
• I don't want an indicia on the envelope for my invitation. Is there another option that can save me postage charges?
ImagePlus can affix precanceled stamps. Precanceled stamps are available for discount First-Class Mail or Standard Mail. A stamp is affixed to each piece of mail you are sending, and you are able to take advantage of the discounted postage rates.
• What are the quantities needed to get discounted rates?
First-Class Mail requires pieces 13 oz. or less and 500 or more pieces. Standard Mail requires pieces 16 oz. or less, and 200 or more pieces (or 50 pounds or more ) per mailing. If you are a non-profit agency, once approved by the post office, you may also receive discounted postage rates.
• What is NCOA processing and how does my mailing benefit from it?
NCOA is an acronym for National Change of Address. In order to reduce the number of mailpieces that require forwarding, or being deemed undeliverable, the Postal Service has mandated Move Update Standards. By periodically matching address records with customer-filed change-of-address orders at the Postal Service, the old address is swapped out for the new. ImagePlus takes care of the mailing list processing and you benefit by having your mailing pieces arriving at their intended destination and not in a landfill.
• What if I don’t want my list NCOA’d?
In order to received discounted postage rates, lists must be NCOA’d or you may choose to have an endorsement on your mailpiece. If you choose the endorsement, NCOA is an optional step, not a requirement. Be sure to let your ImagePlus representative know of your decision at the time your mailing is given to us.
